Playground

We got out to enjoy the beautiful cool sunny day today at the playground. The monkeys were happy.

I can't get him to look at the camera for anything. Good thing he has a pretty cute profile.

A face without freckles

A friend told me this cute saying last week when he saw Drew. "A face without freckles is like a night sky without stars".

They are one of my favorite things about her sweet little face, so the saying made me smile.

A sunny afternoon

It's day one after holiday weekend, daddy was back to work and the kids and I are unburying all the toys and still the house looks like Hurricane Christmas hit it. So, instead of cleaning and organizing, we did what anyone would do and shut the door on it and went outside :)

Drew got a new scooter and Eli a new bike, which they were both itching to use. Eli made it to the end of the sidewalk and then decided maybe he'd leave his bike at home and walk. Which means he walked for a few minutes and then made me carry him. Drew scooted the whole way, and enjoyed every second of it.

Just for fun, I thought I'd make the photos look like we took this walk decades ago.

since drew got a new camera for christmas and she loves using it, i set up a website for posting her photos of life through her lens.

incidentally ring around the rosie is the first song eli has participated in singing and after he sang some of it for the first time, he proudly yelled "me sing it!!!" granted, the words are all wrong and he does lots of mumbling, I'll take it as a first. and he's really good at "ALL FALL DOWN!"

Christmas afternoon

We spent Christmas afternoon with mom and dad at the river. It was so nice to be with them and enjoy lots of laughs, mostly good food, and many gifted surprises!

Christmas Morning

We have Christmas morning under our belts and now it's off to Christmas afternoon with Gigi and Pop Pop. Highlights from this morning. Thank you to grandparents and aunts that sent lots of wrapped goodies and brought many smiles this morning.

Christmas Eve

While I track santa, I figured I'd post some pics from this evening.





So tired, but says she will stay awake for dinner and one gift then go to bed RIGHT AWAY

Even sleepier, he didn't even make it until dinner and will have to open his Christmas Eve gift first thing in the morning.
