Drew and Eli's grandma Joanne sent a book called I Love You, Little One. It's about baby animals asking mommy "Do you love me, mama" and mama replying, "Yes, little one. I love you forever and ever and always".
Well, Drew has taken to saying to all people she loves, "I love you forever and ever and always".
It's, um, kinda cute. :)

"I wish you had just one kid, mommy!"
I did lots of driving today. We went Christmas shopping for daddy. On our way home, Drew says in the backseat "I wish you had just one kid, mommy!" to which I replied "why? and which kid would you prefer I have?" ha ha ha. She says "When Eli was in your tummy, I really loved him. I still love him now...but, he KEEPS taking my toys!" The conversation went on a bit and made me laugh. I do love that the Drew Bug can simply tell me her frustration and we talk about it and move on. She's very sweet and loving to her little brother, but clearly he frustrates her sometimes :)

A trip down memory lane
I left the camera at my parents' house. So I won't have new pics to share until I get it back. I've been going through old photos and found some really wonderful ones that made me very emotional. So here are a few highlights. I'll keep sharing some cute ones as I find them.

A Near Perfect Day
Today has just been one of those days. The kids slept in while I drank my coffee in peace. They both woke up with smiles on their faces. We spent the morning playing inside, then went to meet Gigi for lunch. The weather is gorgeous, so we wanted to spend some time this afternoon outside. We gathered up a blanket, I made some hot chocolate and we headed out to just play in the yard and have our little picnic. Drew kicked the soccer ball around for a while, Eli crawled in circles admiring the grass. I played fetch with the dogs. Drew went over to grab an orange off the orange tree across the yard and brought it back to me. Eli watched and when she was done, he took those little legs and bee-lined across the yard, swatted the soccer ball out of the way along the way and got to the tree and sat there trying as hard as he could to pull an orange off. It was so so so cute. And I just laid back on the blanket, under a sunny sky with my two kiddos learning about their world and was so so thankful for all that I have.

Awwww Cute Eli
Drew had the camera today and was taking pictures of everything. The dogs, the walls, the floors, Eli, me, my arm, the furniture. She takes pictures and then reviews them. After she took this one of Eli, she went to review it on the camera and says "awwww cute Eli! Look mommy! his face is white!" LOL. Yeah that's because you were a foot away from him and used the flash. But she liked it and said I should put it on the computer for her friends to see. So, Drew's friends...here you go...

A Day Out With Thomas

Turned the couch into a playground
We've all been a bit under the weather this week, so although we could use the energy burning from a trip out, we stayed in today. So I made a tunnel with couch and chair cushions and let Drew use the non cushioned couch as a trampoline for a little while today. Much laughter and squealing took place. Yes, these are my children "not feeling well".
