Before we left the house, the kids got in a little pre-trick or treating snoozefest.

Before we left their house to trick or treat

A test run at their house to practice what to say and how to be polite (and to teach them not to take 25 pieces of candy at each house, not that they ever would).

Let the trick or treating begin

I am such a sucker for the cuteness that is kids running too and from houses. It made me smile each and every time watching those little out of control feet sprint back and forth.

Some randomness from the night

These people asked each kid to tell a joke to get their candy. Drew says she told a knock knock joke.

Eli was leading the way at the beginning of the night but fell behind for the last hour. He spent a lot of the last hour in the stroller.

The boys thought this was too scary to go through, so Drew jumped ahead of them and led the way.

Butterfly with a light saber, right before we ended the fun.
