Drew has proclaimed she is ready to ride her bike without training wheels. You may think I am a mellow mom but not when it comes to pavement and my child's body. So we covered her head to toe in armor and let her have a go at it. She was out there 3 or 4 times today with jason going up and down the street with him holding on. She says she's ready for him to let go. Anyone else want to come man the video camera? I don't think I can bear to watch.









Eli got out there too and finally pedaled his little trike. He can pedal the radio flyer that is up higher but hasn't been able to make himself go on the lower one before. Drew must've inspired him.

Winter Park

When we arrived at Winter Park, mom and I needed coffee and the kids needed a snack, so we headed to Starbucks, then I took the kids to a park to run around and play while mom shopped until lunch, then we went back to the park until the train home. It was a neat place to go and I'd love to go again without the kids so I can go in all the neat stores. I did take Eli in Pottery Barn, which was an adventure to say the least :) Playing outside with them in the beautiful park and in the beautiful rose garden was really fun too. And it was right next to the train station, so the kids got to watch another train go by while we played.

Train Ride

On Friday morning, we got up bright and early and headed to the train station, where we hopped aboard a train for the day to go to a town about an hour and a half away for the day. Here are pics from the train ride. The train went past mom and dad's house so as we chugged by, Pop Pop drove out to watch us pass and jumped up and down waving for the kids to see. They thought that was about as cool as things get. I didn't get a picture of pop pop waving frantically, but I did get the kids eagerly watching out the window looking for him.

Thanksgiving

It was so nice to spend the holiday with mom and dad at the river. The kids went Tuesday for a sleepover, I arrived Wednesday and Jason came Thursday after work to celebrate. We enjoyed time with family, baked, wrestled, went for walks,took naps, and played games for days. Lots of fun! On Thanksgiving, we went to a neighbor's house where many friends and family gathered to eat good food and enjoy the company.
