Kayaking

I took the kids kayaking this morning. Eli went in my kayak with me and Drew went in her own kayak by herself. She was a little scared at first but once she got comfortable with steering and controlling where she went, she had fun with it.

Playing Outside

In The Nook

We cleaned up and played in the reading nook for a bit today. The kids love it because they can look out at the lake and Drew loves that when she stands up, her head touches the ceiling.

Zoned Out

After swimming, sitting in the rocking chair together watching a movie. Shocking neither one of them fell asleep. They both have the zoned out look.

At Last

We arrived at the cottage yesterday afternoon after some long days in the car. After a nice swim in the lake for all of us, the kids got right down to business emptying bin after bin of toys to play.

Graduation

Drew's Pre-K graduation was tonight. It was really cute and sweet and nice.

The tomatoes in our garden are starting to ripen. The kids are mostly keeping their hands off of them and just letting them grow.



but every once in a while, Eli takes his dump truck out there and loads one up to haul away from the garden.


and then tries to eat it, not knowing that green doesn't mean good.

Eli and Pop Pop on the Tractor

Eli is obsessed with trucks, trains and tractors right now. When he got to ride Pop Pop's tractor today, he was quite happy. We couldn't get him to smile while on there. He was taking it very seriously.

Pedicures

We spent the afternoon with Gigi and Pop Pop today at the river. Drew wanted to do pedicures with Gigi and Eli didn't want to be left out. He went from the tractor to getting his toes done with the girls.
